VENDOR SPOTLIGHT!! @ofthefieldsfloral Hi, I’m Michelle! Owner and lead designer of Of the Fields Floral design with a studio space located in Springvale, ME. Of the Fields began in 2018 in Nashville, TN before ending up back in Maine on what is now a 4th generation farm. I lived much of my childhood outdoors and developed a deep appreciation for natural beauty at a young age. Today, the couples that are the best fit for Of the Fields are ones that appreciate the seasonality of flowers and foliage and embrace the uniqueness and delight of seeing what’s blooming at the time of their wedding day! This will be my second year serving as the president of the Maine Flower Collective which works to connect an amazing group of flower farmers across the state of Maine to floral designers and flower shops. The collective is in its fourth season and it’s been inspiring to see it grow alongside a talented and passionate group of growers, buyers, and staff who are helping to steer it towards providing a sustainable way to get more Maine flowers into more shops and more wedding days. 2026 is full with the exception of another special project (or two!) that I feel excited by. I’ve just begun dreaming up floral designs with 2027 couples and am continuously inspired by events that are partnerships with clients, planners, venues, and everyone else involved in creating an unforgettable experience! We are great under pressure, in fact we thrive in it. We plan for sun, drizzle, and downpour so we’re not left scrambling when the unexpected inevitably happens. Our vendor team switched to the downpour plan and had the space ready in mere minutes. 🕦 We even were able to repurpose the arbor around the seating chart because it happened to fit perfectly. If the wedding had taken place outside in the Grove as we hoped for, the arbor wouldn’t have been nearby for us to reuse. Proof that sometimes, things turn out even better when they don’t go as you hope for. ✨ Days like these are why we source vendors we can vouch for, who are ready for anything and expect the unexpected with us. 💌 Let’s talk plan A, B, and C.
