Thank you to everyone for taking in (and so attentively taking in!) “Higher.”—Part 2 of my 4-part performance piece, The Moat—on Saturday night as part of the ever-wonderful @thelovehangover These live pieces are a stitch in the embroidery of my heart, and what matters most is the people who create space for me to bring them to life.Endless gratitude to Harrison Long at LA’s @offtrailstudios for trusting my vision and co-creating The Moat with me. To Richard Alwyn, founder of The Love Hangover, and co-producer/co-host @jessiekilguss for welcoming Higher. into the show with such openness. To @chopes26 for documenting it on video and being such a great friend, and to @alicatskills for sitting at the foot of the stage, reminding me that art is always communal—it’s about who you experience it with.I’m excited to bring Part 3 of The Moat, “The End of Self Harm” into the world soon.
