About Playback Theatre
Playback Theatre is an improvisational, community theatre form. It takes off from the listening to real-life personal stories of the ‘audience’ present. The facilitators @akash.narendran and @banadi_ bring their experience of over 13 years of training, performing and facilitating playback theatre to Bangalore Playback Collective.
This workshop is open to all performers, artists and those curious.

Open Practices is our space to build capacity for professional dancers and artists (including actors or anyone interested in body-based practices).
A space for dancers and movers to train, explore and stay in practice. These sessions offer contemporary training - dance + conditioning + movement research + creative practice - in an open studio format where dancers can train, exchange tools and deepen their practice together.

The Workshop
In this workshop, participants will be guided through simple activities designed to promote awareness and expansion in the whole self. Body mapping and spatial orientation will be used to ease up and arrive fully in the present moment. This workshop is open to anyone and might be especially useful for people dealing with pain, stiffness, and tension.

@howdowe.not ' s skill and intelligence is obvious in the way in which he worked his workshop participants through the ideas of erasure, rebellion, taking space and solidarity, even while making it a truly physical experience.
We understood in an embodied way the birth, form and passion of Whacking! While all the while resonating with why it was so very essential to gather and dance like this in order to really W*ACK THE TRANS ACT.
At this crucial moment in Bengal's history, here was an evening of love and solidarity all the way in Bangalore .
