OFFSIDE | HORS JEU — Grand Jury Prize
Through his project, Sarfo Emmanuel Annor reimagines the African football jersey as a shared cultural language — one that moves across borders, histories, and identities.
Although the project comes from Ghana, a country not initially planned for selection, the strength of the work, its clarity of vision, and its deeply Pan-African spirit won over the jury. It reminded us that creativity, like football, resists rigid boundaries — and that no one is ever truly offside when identity, memory, and collective imagination are at play.
The project stood out for its ability to connect the personal to the continental, transforming the jersey into a living symbol of circulation, belonging, and unity.

À travers son projet, Sarfo Emmanuel Annor repense le maillot de football africain comme un langage culturel partagé, capable de circuler entre territoires, mémoires et identités.
Bien que ce projet provienne du Ghana, un pays qui ne faisait pas partie de la sélection initialement prévue, la force du travail, la justesse du regard et son esprit profondément panafricain ont conquis le jury. Il rappelle que, comme dans le football, la création résiste aux cadres rigides — et que personne n’est jamais réellement hors-jeu lorsqu’il s’agit d’identité, de mémoire et d’imaginaire collectif.
Le projet se distingue par sa capacité à relier l’intime au continental, faisant du maillot un symbole vivant de circulation, d’appartenance et d’unité.
