OFFROAD also moves through Tilburg’s bars, cafés and late-night corners, where a different kind of programme takes shape.
Across the city, bands and DJs bring everything from melodic punk, alternative metal and psychedelic garage rock to raw improvisation and late-night DJ sets. From Cul de Sac, Kafee ’t Buitenbeentje, De Buizerd and Little Devil to LocHal and LOC Brewery, these are the stops where OFFROAD spills further into the city. Expect sharp riffs, strange detours, heavy nights and plenty of reasons to keep moving between one space and the next.
WOLVES is a film by Jonas Ulrich that is set in the underground music scene and charts one woman’s turbulent journey of discovery and exploration of boundaries within the community that she seeks solace and connection. This screening during Roadburn/ OFFROAD will be the Dutch premiere of the film, and will be followed by a Q&A with Ulrich alongside the musician/actor Moritz Fabian (Eremit) and Colin H. Van Eeckhout of Amenra, who makes an appearance on screen.

OFFROAD is not only heard and seen, but also tasted. Across the city, places like Silk Road, Sarban, Steck, Taphuys Tilburg, Focus Foodbar, FoodMarket Central Station, Pizzabar Rijslust, Rosalie and Intermezzo offer their own take on hospitality during the festival. From shared meals and vegan specials to local beer and long tables, these are the places where the city invites you to stay a little longer.
OFFROAD also lives in the places where Tilburg keeps moving. At Stadscamping Tilburg, mornings begin around the campfire with breakfast, coffee, vinyl and intimate acoustic sets. At Radio Smederij, artists come together to make, share and connect. And at Block013, movement takes a different form altogether. Three places where OFFROAD becomes something active, not just to watch, but to step into.
Some OFFROAD experiences ask for a different kind of attention. In Schouwburg Concertzaal Tilburg, Jana Jacuka’s HA turns the voice into a bodily force that moves beyond language. In St. Jozefkerk, Het Concreet performs a tribute to La Monte Young’s Composition 1960 #7, stretching sound and time into something almost physical. And at De Pont, Steve McQueen’s ATLAS invites visitors into a journey through image, sound and the cosmos - with McQueen also joining director Martijn van Nieuwenhuyzen for a talk at the museum on Thursday 16 April. Three OFFROAD moments that resonate far beyond the immediate.
OFFROAD is also about the spaces in between: meeting, sharing, learning and looking out for one another. Take a seat at the OFFROAD community table at Silk Road, bring a bottle to The Rad Roadburn Bottleshare VIII at De Bierbrigadier, or join Feniks’ Bystander Intervention Training. Three different ways to connect with the city and with each other.
We’re excited to announce that OFFROAD, the complimentary programme that takes place in Tilburg during the festival, will return during Roadburn 2026.
OFFROAD want to bring the city – and its inhabitants – closer to Roadburn, and vice versa. Venues throughout the city offer discounts, organize performances, activities, special menus and more. Tilburg residents and visitors from all over will get a taste of what Roadburn is about, whilst Roadburn attendees can explore the city and add a little extra to their usual Roadburn experience if they wish. Roadburn has facilitated OFFROAD in conjunction with the city of Tilburg.
