Alright I’ve been exploring a new sound for the last 8 months and honestly loved most of what I made. But nothing was fully clicking the way I wanted it to. Then this one happened and I was like oh shit, that’s the one. That’s gonna be my first release. Hey everyoneeee, it’s been a minute I know 🫨 For anyone new here, i make music. Have been for a while. And the honest version is that I spent a lot of the last few years overthinking all of it. The industry, social media, the pressure, where i fit in and my sound…. at some point you catch yourself making decisions based on what’s “smart” instead of what’s actually fun, and you realize that’s probably not the move. Then a few things happened. I got married to my loverlova @__elenad . Became an uncle to the best niece on the planet (objectively). Started a record label with my best friend @p.etherh that is bringing me so much life and something I’m genuinely proud of, and somewhere in all that I remembered the whole point was supposed to be doing the coolest shit i could, not the most strategic. None of this would look or sound the way it does without my second family @minabstudios @neighborsbymusic @justalex2.000 for holding the whole thing together and guiding me while i overthink things, @firasfarah for helping me lock in the sound brick by brick, and @carlqaed for making everything look the way it does in my head. I’m so excited for this new chapter and new sound, and I’m really glad you’re here for it.

Getting your first placement on netflix feels pretty amazing. Getting your first placement on netflix with your bestfriend and the person you started making music with feels a million times better. A song we made in our bedrooms and personally one of my favorites. Who would've thought?
