Hi everyone! Announcing our newest chapter, SAPP Lewisville, along with a short message from their President, Cynthia Lee! We can’t wait to see what they achieve. @sapplewisville 💞
On September 27, Governor Gavin Newsom signed AB 1287, the bill that ends the discriminatory ‘pink tax’ in CA, prohibiting companies from charging different prices for goods depending on gender. Read about what pink tax is and what this decision means!
On June 24, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, the long-standing constitutional right to abortion, eliminating abortion access for thousands of individuals across the nation. The ruling also brought up concerns about data security, with menstruators fearing that their period tracker app information would be shared with external sources. Read about the implications of this decision and what you can do to help.
During the pandemic, menstruators were negatively affected by period poverty, with many still facing challenges. As we face issues of war, poverty, and shortages around the world, we can do our part to help menstruators, one package at a time. The care packages/letters that you create as a part of our CodeRED Collections will be sent to organizations and shelters across the Bay Area and beyond (plus you have the opportunity to earn service hours)!
The information attached below contains what to put in the menstrual care packages and/or the letters - each care package and letter will be sent to homeless and domestic violence shelters across the Bay Area and beyond. Please read over the information before assembling/writing your care packages and letters! ❣️❣️
