Missing you today and everyday. Harry Nilsson (June 15, 1941 - January 15, 1994) I’ll say goodbye to all my sorrow And by tomorrow I’ll be on my way I guess the Lord must be in New York City I’m so tired of gettin’ nowhere Seein’ my prayers goin’ unanswered I guess the Lord must be in New York City Well, here I am, Lord, knockin’ at your back door Ain’t it wonderful to be Where I’ve always wanted to be? For the first time I’ll breathe free, here in New York City

A wild Thanksgiving at the @thetroubadour Drinking buddies known as ‘The Hollywood Vampires’. Members included and seen here: John Lennon, Harry Nilsson, Alice Cooper, & Micky Dolenz. They had come for a thanksgiving celebration to see Anne Murray & the Smothers Brothers celebrate Thanksgiving in 1973 during John Lennon’s LOST WEEKEND period. Anne performed that night and John & Harry were later thrown out for heckling The Smothers Brothers . Anne says she has kept this first picture on the wall above her piano for years. She would say “I was the only sober one in the photo, surrounded by rock gods”. She’s retired now and back in Nova Scotia (Halifax) 🇨🇦 Photo by Richard Creamer/Michael Ochs Archives/Getty Images) @micky_dolenz @alicecooper @officialnilsson @johnlennon @theannemurray #richardcreamer #vintagelosangeles

Fun fact: the cover photo for Nilsson’s 1976 album Sandman was taken by Mal Evans. And that’s Joe Cocker singing background on The Flying Saucer Song.
