First full workout back today. Started with 5lbs weights. Everything was light. My body is begging for me to go slow and be specific. I’m so grateful I get to get back in the gym before and hopefully during radiation so I can deal with any lymphoma right away. #cancer #breastcancer #radiation

Correction…today was my radiation planning appointment. I got measured and cracked jokes with my team while they drew on me with markers. Next week I’ll get tiny tattoos so they know exactly where to do the radiation. I’ve been so busy living lately that I forgot that this was a part of my life but…..I’m gonna get through this. I’m gonna be kind to myself and my body and if anyone else is going through thiis then let’s be kind to eachother ❤️❤️ #cancer #radiation #breastcancer
On my way to my first radiation appointment…..so many feelings. Had to work this morning so haven’t had the time to fully process what’s to come. So I want to share an app that I found and fell in love with. The idea that we might not be around when you’re going through this crosses your mind constantly. I know I was and still am scared. If I’m being honest I don’t have the energy to write letters or journal. But this app and I thought it was brilliant. When I am no longer here (I’m planning on being here till I’m 90 FYI) I want my kids and my grandkids to be able to hear my voice and get any advice or love I can give them. And I wanted to record the journey I’m on in real time without pressure. The app just asks you questions and you answer. It’s a perfect solution when you’re overwhelmed. @forevermoreapp is an app I highly recommend. #cancer #chemo #breastcancer #talkingtoyourkids .
This week…..from 16 rounds of Chemo to a double mastectomy and follow up surgery to here. Finding myself again through the thing I love most. Story telling. I’m so grateful to be back in the directors chair. I’m exhausted…. But in the best way. Week one in the can.
