My baby. My heart that walks around outside of my body is now in the double digits. I cannot believe it. Before you were born, I was the best student. I read all the baby books. All the toddler books. I researched! I made sure I knew the “best” way to do all the things.
These days I’ve stopped reading the books. Because now YOU are my teacher. I get to watch the person you actually are, and you show me every day how to best support that.
You are an extraordinary kid. Your dad and I are endlessly proud of you. And thank you for still cuddling me at night — I know I’m on borrowed time with that one.

We lost our Floyd today. Lover of humans. Hater of motorcycles. My baby. My bestest boy. Pure unconditional love. I know he was not a person- but he was MY person, ya know? We were soul connected, and until his last breath, I truly believed he might speak to me in a complete sentence. He didn’t need to. I understood him completely.
