Taisugar Suantou Cultural Park

The Taisugar Suantou Factory once had a primary school, a post office, a shrine, Japanese-style dormitories, and even entertainment facilities like a club, forming a small town that emerged as a result of early rural industrialization. The presence of the local train service was closely linked to the daily lives and memories of the residents. However, with the current plans for the train extension and the establishment of TSMC’s advanced packaging plant, along with accelerated urban development in the surrounding areas, the process of rural urbanization has been hastened. Consequently, the circular line of the train not only connects rural tourism and cultural industries but also links urban life with rural experiences. Therefore, in facing the inevitable urbanization of the countryside, this project aims not only to preserve cultural landscapes but also to reposition the vision of the Taisugar Suantou Factory site as a bridge between the rural and urban areas and as a buffer zone in the process of urbanization.
蒜頭糖廠過去有著小學校、郵便局、神社、日式宿舍聚落甚至是俱樂部等娛樂設施，是早期郷村由工業化所形成的小型城市。五分車的身影更是緊緊相連著居民的日常生活記憶，然而伴隨著今天的五分車延駛計畫及台積電先進封裝廠的進駐，並伴隨著周遭都市開發加速了郷村都市化的過程。也因此，五分車環狀線串連的並非僅僅是郷村觀光及文化產業，而是串連著都市生活與郷村經驗，因此，本案在面對郷村必然的都市化的過程中，除了透過文化景觀保存原則，更近一步重新定位蒜頭糖廠園區的願景，將園區作為郷村與都市之間的橋樑以及都市化過程的緩衝地帶。
台糖蒜頭糖廠は、かつて小学校、郵便局、神社、日本式の宿舎、さらにはクラブなどの娯楽施設を備えた、小規模な町が形成されていました。これは、初期の農村が工業化によって生まれたものです。地元の列車サービス
は、住民の日常生活や記憶と密接に結びついていました。しかし、現在の列車延長計画やTSMCの先進的なパッケージ工場の設立に伴い、周辺地域の都市開発が加速される中で、農村の都市化のプロセスが加速しています。その結果、列車の環状線は、農村観光や文化産業だけでなく、都市生活と農村の体験を結びつけています。したがって、農村の避けられない都市化の過程に直面し、このプロジェクトは文化的景観の保存だけでなく、台糖蒜頭糖廠の敷地のビジョンを再定位し、農村と都市の間の橋渡しとして、そして都市化の過程における緩衝地帯として機能することを目指しています。
