alissa bennett is the queen of the weird girl, the eldritch doula of the weird girl, the archivist and scholar of the weird girl, the lived-it-so-you-better-believe-it of the weird girls. no one does it like alissa, no one gets abjection and celebrates it like alissa, no one delights in that which we are most ashamed of like alissa. to know her is to be in awe of her, and to be mentored by her is to have special access to everything that truly matters in the universe.
alissa bennett is the special guest of the inaugural offal literary salon. she'll kick us off with a special, extended reading at the beginning of the evening.
Alissa Bennett's (@arnoldfriend6 ) writing has appeared in publications including Texte Zur Kunst, Interview, The Paris Review, and The New York Times. Bennett teaches in the graduate programs at Yale School of the Arts and Sarah Lawrence College.
