You’ve probably already heard that Motor City Brewing Works is taking a pause, so I figured I’d share some of the tap handles that I’ve made for them through the years.
Some are cast aluminum like the Nut Brown, others are cast resin for distribution, like the Czech Engine and Ghettoblaster. The Ghetto design was taken from the label, designed by the amazing Glenn Barr @glbarr
Also there’s the cast bronze beer trough for the old circular tap tower that was decommissioned several years ago.
Obviously we all hope they come back strong after a retooling break, but go get some beer and pizza before Feb 8 to show your love and support

Recently finished this sculptural tree installation for the pediatric intensive care unit at Henry Ford St. John Hospital on the eastside. Made of oak and acoustic high density felt. Thanks to the team at the HF health system for bringing me on board, and thanks to @_coyote_wilderland for assisting.
A reception desk and some display fixtures we built earlier this year @mocadetroit to match their existing store counters and bar (not sure who built the originals or I would give cred) Plywood and laminate. Thanks again to @_coyote_wilderland
Custom carraige house doors we made for @henriettahaus out of southern yellow pine. And we also fabricated some custom steel hinges. Each door is 56” wide x 100” high. They’ve since been painted a lovely firehouse red but I haven’t gotten a good shot of them totally finished yet. Last pic shows the original doors that we were replicating
Thanks to @_coyote_wilderland for assistance
