24.01.2025 - 26.01.2025 Opening night 24.01.2025 from 17h30 ‘Eyla’ is a group exhibition hosted at ‘Off Newquay’ for the second time, featuring the work of 17 artists who call Cornwall home. The word ‘Eyla,’ meaning ‘second’ in Cornish, reflects the exhibition’s return, offering a weekend-long display of diverse and engaging artwork. What began as a simple conversation has since evolved into this lively collective, born out of a shared desire to bring more contemporary art to the heart of Newquay, ‘Eyla’ showcases a diverse selection of work, highlighting the vibrant creative spirit of the region whilst harnessing the community it brings. The 17 artists welcome you to explore the unique perspectives of the vibrant artistic community in Newquay and Cornwall.

Saturday September 9th. Film screening with @bones_the_movie  about @fantasticacid +'out of step' by @surfyonder BONES ~ Hydroplane and Displacement ~ by Vincent Lauzel is the reflection of an Art free and happy in unnamed lands… the pursuit of free rein in expression through water displacement…conception of accelerated curves on urethane volumes… BONES, where the Displacement Hulls as bones would be the only remnants of a vanished civilization. BONES quite simply a story of friends traveling the coasts... OUT OF STEP Out of Step is a 20 minute film sally and tom of yonder made about their approach to travel, raising a child, adventure and surfing. Their aim for the film initially was to share a little bit of their story in the hopes that parts of it might resonate; if one person sees it and it helps them to reconcile the way they feel about surfing, parenting, priorities or being out of step with the world, we’d view the film as a success.
