The North Sea shaped me. As a stoked kid, a teenager, an athlete, a father. And as a filmmaker.. but above all, as a human who loves the sea. She taught me patience, gave me freedom, confronted me with fear and gifted me euphoria and a lifelong passion: surfing. A lot of the things I do started in the north sea, so to create this for @stichtingdenoordzee was truly full circle and wholesome. With a small, dedicated team we created a film that gives her a voice. Not as a backdrop, but as a living being. It's now officially the busiest sea in the world, gasping for breath.
 From endless horizons.. to a skyline of steel, turbines, platforms, fires and red lights. The North Sea deserves our attention. Always. But now more than ever! Production company: @off.therichter
