Just packaged Coolship Black:
For this dark yet remarkably drinkable lager, we start with a traditional Czech-style base layered with Munich & debittered roasted malts, brewed using a double decoction mash to intensify rich mocha and dark chocolate character. European noble hops contribute delicate floral aromatics and a refined bitterness for a very balanced finish.
For added complexity, the beer rests briefly in our coolship before fermenting in open tanks with a classic Czech lager yeast. It then slowly conditions in our lager tanks allowing the flavors to fully mature. The result pours deep black with ruby highlights beneath a fluffy cream colored head. Notes of dark chocolate, smooth mocha roasted malt and a restrained roasted character are balanced by subtle earthy depth, floral hop character, and a crisp, clean finish.
Available on DRAFT and TO GO
New for Friday May 9:
Spezial Vienna Style Lager ... 5.4% abv - is brewed with a touch of caramel malt to create its distinct soft malty character. It pours deep copper in color with a fluffy off white head. A lightly toasted note is perfectly balanced by a delicate hop character. An open fermentation using our classic lager yeast leaves a crisp and dry finish.
& Introducing SIRI’S Fine Ales: An Indian Fusion Project between Ben Neidhart & Pallavi Siri Golla to design unique Indian inspired recipes with American creativity.
Siri's Agni White Ale ... 5.2% abv -balances a bright and citrusy character from its spices (lemongrass, coriander & ginger) with a soft maltiness & a creamy mouthfeel. A crisp & dry finish leaves an incredibly refreshing ale.
Siri's Dhara Dark Hefeweizen ... 6.2% abv - drinks deceptively easy for its dark color. The black cardamon & nutmeg intermingle with notes of clove from the yeast. A soft velvety body makes Dhara a perfect compliment to spicier dishes.

Cheers to the best day of the year! Since it’s National Beer Day, let’s run it back to our recent @deciccosbeer team trip to @bunitedint and @oecbrewing in Oxford, CT 🍻
If you know, you know. From barrel-aged sour ales to grassroots German-style lagers, OEC Brewing is a masterclass in fermentation. 🧪✨ B. United International has been importing some of the world’s best beer, cider, mead and sake for over 30 years 🌎🏆
This was like stepping into a small town German brewery and rustic European cellar hidden in the Connecticut woods. We had a chance to try complex imports for the first time while also refreshing our palates with some familiar friends. So thankful to their team for their time, hospitality and partnership!
Whether you’re sipping a crisp Zwickel or a funky spontaneous ale today, make sure it’s a good one.
Where are you grabbing a pint for National Beer Day? Let me know in the comments! 👇

April’s passport stamp for Grady Hendrix’s “Southern Book Club’s Guide to Slaying Vampires”. A book club book stamp for a book about a book club’s books, how meta!
This book was a fun one, though I do wish it had more vampireness. This is the 3rd book of Hendrix’s I’ve read, this one I did as a graphic audiobook (full cast and sound effects) and I would highly recommend that version.
Join us next month at OEC, we’re reading Fantastic Land by Mike Bockoven!
