One of the most interesting things to me about the Widelux is how it perfectly fits with the film industry. So here is “Widelux: A Brief History”!! This was supposed to be a “quick” write but quickly devolved once I fell into the research. Includes some of the history of panoramic cameras and the Widelux’s ties to the film industry. Back in 2022 we took a small crew to Big Bear to get b-roll and interviews for Asaf’s new album, dedicated to his mother, called: IMA. It is truly one of the most meaningful projects I’ve DP’ed with people I love and I’m so happy to finally see it go live. The music of the album is beautiful, and I got to collaborate with my favorite director @cristianmerc ❤️ I really am so proud of this crew and what we created together.
