Back in March I turned a scribble on the back of a callsheet into a custom T Slot Aluminium trolley. It has come a long way over the last 8 months, and still has a way to go. But I’ve had a blast building it, and can’t wait to see where it ends up.
I think there’s some kind of rule, where if you find a fake skeleton, you have to put your headphones on it.

Week two of our hiatus, and I’ve been trying to keep myself busy with those “I’ll get around to it” projects. It’s been a red hot minute since I’ve varnished anything, so this little front box for my trolley was a good way to shake the rust off.

It was just too tempting to convert my DSR4 MixPre6 setup into a pelican drop rig. Versatility was the name of the game, as I wanted the option to choose between full wireless and hardwired microphones. I can also fit an SMV in the corner, and have it feed an @audio.workbench mag mount for IFB transmission. All my tests with the @remoteaudio whip antennas have been successful, but I thought a @betsoelectronics bowtie really added some class (without the need for a ground plane). Can’t wait to put this rig through its paces!
