my first lithograph on limestone
using a removal process, i applied a grease based tusche onto the limestone before scratching it off with sandpaper and chemicals/acid based solutions to add to the texture of the finalized print.

No Words: In Conversation
theres always been something fascinating to me about people being in the same shared space, not saying a single word but being able to still deeply connect and communicate with each other. Some of my favorite paintings I've found recently deal with subject matter involving two (sometimes more) people, engaging in a memory, an experience and/or emotions, where us as the viewer are void of text and speech but the artworks subjects still having a deep parallel connection with each other that the viewer can understand, relate to, and sometimes feel present for without having to read or be in verbal dialogue with to feel. these are some paintings i've come across lately that do that for me.

Charcoal Study Drawing # 2
Archive digging, nostalgic for a world I never experienced directly. Only imagining through the stories my mother shares with me of her growing up in the city and the remnants that remain persistent in a city shifting more into a place that doesn't look nor feel like what she describes. Funny how you can feel nostalgia for something you'll never truly know. These pictures help me build a deeper understanding.
