Neotropolis...thank you...for everything...
A year ago, I stepped on stage at Neotropolis 25' with @nightridermusic for the first time ever for only 4 minutes and it changed my life forever.
In this year, by some divine miracle I was able to open Neo's live band/artists with a solo set and once again join the stage with Night Rider 87.
For 49 minutes-I played the keys, keytar, drums, sang and danced my ass off. The hardest ive EVER performed and to top it off-having the absolute privilege to even sing in SPANISH on the grandest stage of them all, representing my culture with my mask and jacket...
I got to speak behind the scenes and share the stage to all these incredible artists who Ive looked up to since I was a child and have them congratulate me "Way to go kid! You killed it." I got to hear from my family and friends how proud they were of me, legends praise me and those in the crowd tell me how awesome it was.
This was real. I did it. By the end I was overwhelmed by emotions and couldnt help but shed some tears on and off stage.
I am SO grateful to EVERYONE at Neo for the opportunity to shine, for taking a chance on the peculiar boy who still believes in Hope and dreams coming true. To all of YOU who were on the dancefloor, busting a move, singing along-THANK YOU for allowing me to share this moment with you...
Neo birthed me...all I can hope is Im able to rock out again next year.
If not...Man I got to play at fucking Neotropolis 26' haha! I got to live my childhood dreams come true, not many can say that.
Forever grateful and appreciative to all those who've supported me and lifted me to these great heights. I could not have done it without your everlasting help.

BTS OF THE EVERLASTING EP: The Misguided
THIS is the most underrated and most underappreciated track on the EP in my personal opinion.
I wanted to bring the energy back up after Dusk and give the EP one last burst of energy before Everlasting came next.
It was so bright and quick that it reminded me of an old school saturday cartoon or anime intro. Older renditions had vocals but decided against it
But it WAS missing something...
At the time I was lucky to previously befriend an incredibly talented artist in @sangabrielmusic (who lowkey is like super famous now lol) and absolutely LOVED his music. Saw him perform live and thought maybe his dreamy guitars could be utilized some way for a future project if we ever had the chance to collab.
Then a "like duh" moment happened and I just said what the hell-might as well ask the man.🤦
Sent him the track and asked if he could mimic the melody i wrote on a synth with a similar strumming tone that he used for his track "Tape Machine".
Without even asking what key or scale the song is in-he tracked his guitar damn near PERFECTLY-even added things I didnt even ask for like that rythm section around 3:00 in- when I heard it I just said "wow-yeah this works amazingly" and so this new addition to the track fit like A GLOVE...I tried to compensate the man or include him as a feature and of course he just said "Nah its okay dude, this track is cool. We're good." Like man. I got lucky again.
The last missing piece to the puzzle. This is probably my personal fave on the EP and it really bums me out that it is the least streamed and played out of all the songs...like its very surprising to me. A few people have exclaimed it as one if their faves but wish it got more attention in general.
As for live-its a great Keytar track. It is however, one of the hardest fucking tracks to play on the thing so its the most common track i goof up on when i play it live. Ive yet to have a perfect live rendition. One day ill do it justice. 😅
Again-A HUGE thank you to @sangabrielmusic for quietly helping out on this one. Hopefully I can work with him more in the future if the opportunity presents itself.

BTS OF THE EVERLASTING EP: Dusk
Dusk actually had the most changes in its production cycle. It was originally even MORE ambient and slower than the final version and had MANY different names.
I had the most trouble on the arrangement and composition of this track. I noticed in earlier iterations that it was just such a snore to listen to. Nothing really developed and quite frankly was so stagnant that it threw off the whole momentum of the EP-especially right after Fury of Youth. It has no definitive chorus so it made it a bit difficult what direction i wanted for it.
Serving as the midpoint in the EP, I wanted atmospheric-but driving and that was the biggest problem. Every new iteration just kept swing heavy in one direction or the other. Too dreamy and ambient with not enough energy-too much variation or too repetitive.
Balance was something clearly missing-so I went to good friend @moon__talk for advice. He pointed out that the transitions were going to be the biggest thing to help create direction and a central theme. In his mind-this track could easily be in a djs setlist-fitting snugly in a transition or when the crowd needs to feel that euphoric medium tempo ecstasy.
So it morphed smoothly into this Housey/Hybrid Chill Synth track that fit perfect as a midmark to the EP. It does its job in the beginning carrying the energy from the previous track and shifting into a more groovier, mellow track midway through. Especially near the 2 minute mark where its noticeably more tame.
The last piece of advise he gave me was to let the track breathe and keep the tension where it needs it with a satisfying payoff. I was ADAMANT to have a final lead in the closing bit of the track-I wanted it after the drop around the 2:45 to facilitate that payoff.
But he said wait. Let it ride for a second-THEN hit that lead for the ultimate payoff and just FAAADE it out.
And goddamn it-it worked 😂. So i give him a lot of credit for this one. Its a great late evening cruising track-hence the name.
One of the other lowkey favorites of many on the EP.

BTS OF THE 'EVERLASTING EP: Fury Of Youth
This track in particular took the longest to complete-spanning a production cycle that goes as far back as 2019-2020. It was always the smaller-yet quintessential pieces that gave me trouble-mainly the toms and the inclusion of a halftime section. In earlier renditions of the song-when i sent it for feedback-the funniest piece of criticism I recieved was that for a track that had the word "Fury" in the title, you def didnt feel it lol. So i threw a fit and added some main leads to the verse sections. They 100% improved the song for sure and added a grit and intensity sorely missing otherwise. Interesting to note is that until that point-I had not written leads in that type of style before so it worked in its favor.
The halftime section was actually completed before the first half of the track-I knew i wanted to end the track with a halftime section but was getting stuck on the final lead. Coincidentally at the time I was listening to @miaminights1984 and his remix of Room 8s "Visions of You" I think in hindsight took a liiiittle bit too much inspiration from that remix in the composition of the track. 😅 The final lead, arp roll and overall layout of Fury Of Youth is shamelessly almost a one-to-one copy of that remix haha...look, i wear my influences on my sleeve. 🤷♂
I DID remember, once I got the call from @rosso.corsa.records on a potential release on the label and needed review-I GENIUINELY thought that track was gonna get rejected by Miami Nights as it sounded way too similar to his style. Thankfully they enjoyed it though and accepted it.
As for the name-There is a poem titled "The Flesh I Burned" by Ritika Jyala, that touches on topics of time passing and nostalgia (at least my surface level understanding of poems) and in it, is the line "fury of youth". The poem really stuck with me during that tumultuous time and that name just fit petfectly with the overall theme of the EP.
This was finally my showcase-who I was and what I could bring to the Synth world. Ego aside-I had a lot to prove and knew I needed to hit the ground running. This track was my welcoming card and boy did it hit.

BTS OF THE EVERLASTING EP: The First Step
As always-forever late with things but here we go.
That age old saying that goes along the lines of every great journey begins with the first step-funnily enough the opposite when it came to this track.
The First Step was actually the LAST track I worked on for the EP. Originally the EP was only 4 tracks long-however I felt a proper intro was missing.
I had this childlike idea that id make an intro song to walk out to on stage with this grand entrance of smoke and lights and all the jazz. Turns out, it was the perfect fit for that purpose and its a good opener for the EP as well. Originally i wanted a sort of voiceover with some inspirational speech or quote or what not but just ended up foregoing it as i thought it cluttered up a slow buildup.
As the track plays it actually gives me time to psych myself up before performing. That 1:30 is crucial for setup.
In the end-its an intro. Nothing flashy or complex-but necessary and something that I can make iconic. You know the show is about to begin when that sweep creeps in.

The Neon Spotlight: ODDitee
ODDitee hit the one-year mark of Everlasting on March 18, and the thing still plays like a neon transmission from a better decade. It was “The First Step” toward synthwave stardom. Tracks like “Fury of Youth,” “Dusk,” and “Everlasting” don’t just nod to the 1980s. They shove you through the theater doors, spill a drink in your lap, and strand you in the closing scene of some lost midnight cult classic.
He is not just a producer hiding behind the knobs and cables. He sings, too. There is a dark, polished ache in the delivery, the kind that calls up Depeche Mode without feeling like a cheap imitation. If that were not enough, the sax cuts in and seals the deal. It’s slick, emotional, and far too confident to be ignored.
Before he started owning stages in Portland and Seattle, ODDitee was the guy in the crowd with the fingerless gloves, fist raised, watching every move, studying every set, absorbing the whole ritual of the thing. That matters. You can hear it. You can see it. He understands synthwave not as a costume, but as a creed.
That’s why his stage presence works. He carries nostalgia in one hand and the future in the other, and somehow the trick doesn’t feel forced. As a member of the Pacific Northwave Collective, he has built more than a name for himself. He has become one of the engines driving the scene forward, as vital to the community as he is to the stage.
And now the road leads to Neotropolis 2026, where ODDitee will appear alongside heavy hitters like Night Rider 87, Starfarer, and Droid Bishop. Not bad for a guy who once stood in the crowd and watched. Then again, that is how the good ones start. They learn the room before they try to command it.
