MAKEUP HACK FOR PERFORMERS —> because I don’t gatekeep. I shared this recipe a couple years ago on here, so best believe, it’s tried and true. This is how I step off the stage after chaotic antics with my face card INTACT: 1. @smashboxcosmetics Photo Finish Smooth + Blur Primer - apply after moisturizing 2. Do all your foundations, concealers, eyeshadows, bronzers, powders, etc. 3. @garnier Soothing Facial Mist - a few light spritzes 4. Let it set for 30 seconds, press in with a powder puff, then fully fan dry 5. @onesize On Til Dawn Setting Spray - two full coats …et voilà! FINALLY!!! —> After over 20 years of feeling like I missed out, I caught a screening of THEE “Afropunk” documentary. I remember I ALWAYS had a conflict when it played in LA in the early 2000s. I’m gonna do a deep dive and maybe even a blog post one day about my thoughts on the film. Otherwise, I really appreciate @spoonersnofun ’s post-film talk about the broader context of the doc, and its cultural impact. Who else has seen it? What did you think?

APRIL WAS A PORTAL —> shout-out to the *actual* first month of the year. I was very obsessed with my problems and issues, and now I’m bored of them. It’s called shadow work, SWEETIE. Last night’s show at Davey Wayne’s was dessert, and much needed. What an excellent crowd! Main character syndrome = activated. I remember who I am now, and I need to stop judging it.

POST-RETROGRADE EMOTIONS —> Frustration. Pride. Exhaustion. Gratitude. Love. Disgust. Apathy. This is what happens when you’re a person. I love my life. That said, I want, need, and deserve more. Different moves coming up next. 🌹🗡️💋

OUTSIDE AF —> what a pleasant month! I don’t usually leave my zip code so often like this. While I’ve got my entertainment career simmering on the back burner, I’ve been recalibrating, rolling with the punches, dancing with the setbacks, and building a foundation. I’m so grateful I’ve arrived at a place in life where I understand the art of embracing the tension between light and dark. There’s no person/place/situation/b*tch on this planet that I’ll postpone my contentment for💋

COSMIC SHIFTS —> Shout-out to my email and YouTube subscribers… Auntie’s been practicing quality over quantity for a long time, and she’s always gonna make sure that her community gets all the exclusives. We’re seeing the world in 20/20 vision now, no more innocent delusions of wide-eyed liberal shock. Look to your people and step up your discernment. I SURVIVED 2025 —> I might make this a new slogan tee. But at the end of the day, 2025 was the course-correction that I needed. Very grateful for last night’s revelry to mark the passage into a new (fiscal) year… to be amongst friends old and new was a real deposit into my spirit. I hope you received the same. NIGHTLIFE FOREVER!!! 🥰
