Less than 2 weeks prep time and just before Cebu conf, this is probably the most major spontaneous thing I’ve done recently! Sustainable gen z Singaporean* girlie mode is one of my favorite identities and I’m always grateful for experiences and trust to work and grow in this field 🌱 and love catching up with my SG friends!!

This work ‘Pause. Here.’ is something completely new for me. Approaching it not as a maker but as someone pausing, noticing, observing. Finally a work expressing the importance of acoustic design, noise in spaces and how environmental noise shapes our everyday.
It’s all inspired by my own struggles of trying to enjoy spaces here in Singapore but being held back when the acoustics and surroundings are not cared for.
Huge shoutout to my collaborator and spatial designer @elbowpancakes from @theassemblydesign_ for working endlessly to bring this concept into reality.

Five months of planning, 49 group chats created, weeks of four-hour sleep, and 11 days of ±40 programmes later—Orchard + Somerset Design District comes to a close.
It’s been draining, daunting, but also exciting. Every day another bullet to bite. We learnt a lot, and slept very little. We have so many people to thank—the community really rallied together to pull this off. So much good will around if you just ask.
