Clay temporarily co-lives together with leather in the enchanting atelier of Lachoix. With a French accent but a Portuguese essence, Lachoix was founded in 2018 by Fátima Carvalho, driven by the necessity to reconcile comfort and elegance in flat shoes.

I finished this piece on my last day in the studio before a few weeks away.
I’m now travelling through New Zealand, but this one felt quite special, so I wanted to share. I’ll show more of the process soon.
Over the next weeks, while I’m travelling, I’ll be sharing a few studio moments and hopefully some of the beauty I’ve been seeing along the way!
Part two of this piece.
Here I’m working with just one clay, which is quite different from my usual approach. There’s a simplicity in it that allows the form to stand out.
Some ODARA pieces are currently living at the beautiful gallery @_estrela74 in Lisbon.
If you haven’t seen them yet, they’re waiting for you!
