A moody morning atop Brum’s new tallest building, The Octagon. Standing at 155 metres it offers some of the best views of the city. While the sun didn’t come out to play, we were treated to some sci-fi inspired mist and atmosphere turning views in to a scene from Blade Runner.

Just Stop Oil and Extinction Rebellion took to Colmore Row in Birmingham City centre to create a party atmosphere in a peaceful protest aimed at insurance companies, Allianz, Chubb and Zurich who occupy offices in The Colmore Building.
Following an earlier ‘sit in’ inside the building the protesters moved along the city without incident as Police followed closely.
Press release from Just Stop Oil states that “Allianz, Chubb and Zurich are all insuring new fossil fuel projects. Chubb have not ruled out insuring the East Africa Crude Oil Pipeline and Zurich has not ruled out insuring the Cumbrian Coalmine.”

A small but vocal protest was held today outside Birmingham Council House in support of a ceasefire in the ongoing conflict in Gaza. Police watched on as the peaceful protest allowed various people to voice their support for Palestine set against the backdrop of the lunchtime crowd and German Christmas market.
