This once tired and underused yard has been completely transformed into a functional, layered outdoor space designed to be enjoyed year-round.
Featuring corten steel raised planters for added depth and structure, Capital Ornamental Pears to create natural privacy, and a thoughtfully designed native garden to attract local wildlife.
The stunning ‘Natchez’ Crepe Myrtle feature trees bring beautiful seasonal colour, while custom screening keeps practical elements neatly tucked away. Finished with a composite deck built for entertaining and relaxed outdoor living.

Campbelltown Project — final stages 👀
The new lawn is down and already bringing a fresh, vibrant feel to the space — softening the structure and tying the whole garden together.
The composite deck is also well underway, with most of the build complete and the outdoor living area starting to take shape.

Here’s what we’ve done so far for this Campbelltown project:

Game changer for tight access work 👀
We’ve added a 1.2T excavator to the O’Connell Landscape & Construction fleet and it’s already proving itself on site.
This compact machine fits through a standard 820 doorway (yep… we can take it through the house if we have to), which makes those tight access jobs a whole lot easier.
Less manual labour, quicker turnarounds, and a safer way to get into spots we couldn’t reach before, all leading to better results for our clients.
Definitely a solid addition to the team 💪

Tusmore Backyard Transformation – Final Reveal 🌿
From full excavation to a beautifully layered outdoor space, this backyard is now designed for year-round living.
The fire pit zone creates a warm central gathering space, framed by natural stone boulders. Surrounding garden beds with Winter Glow pear trees add texture, privacy and seasonal interest.
A raised vegetable patch, dedicated shed area, fresh lawn, and irrigation system complete the space, bringing both function and long-term sustainability.
With the irrigation system in place and planting beginning to mature, this garden will only continue to grow in beauty and character over time.

Tusmore Backyard Transformation - Part 2 🌿
As the excavation continued across the site, the area was further prepared to create a clean foundation for the next stage of the project.
A dedicated shed base was excavated and prepared, while a raised vegetable patch was constructed to create a practical and accessible area for the clients to grow their own produce.
Along the pool zone, bluestone steppers were installed and will soon be softened with Dichondra ground cover, creating a beautiful contrast against the surrounding materials.

Tusmore Backyard Transformation - Part 1 🌿
Our clients wanted a backyard designed for year-round living, with multiple functional spaces to gather, relax and grow. Privacy and layered planting were thoughtfully built into the design to create visual interest and natural screening.
We started by excavating the entire yard to create a fresh foundation. A generous fire pit zone was dug to create a central gathering space, framed with substantial stone boulders from Carey Gully Quarry.
Structural elements and carefully planned garden beds were established to define key zones, build screening from neighbouring properties, and introduce depth and texture throughout the space.

Giving this Grange home a fresh new look 🌊
We completed part one of the transformation last year, with the installation of a new fence and construction of the garden to reshape and add structure to the property.
Now we have returned to deliver the final stage, a crisp new exterior paint finish and a tidy up to ensure every element works cohesively.
Light coastal tones, clean lines, and a garden designed to handle the sea breeze have come together to create a calm, refined finish across the entire property.

Designed to complement the home’s bold concrete finishes, this coastal landscape pairs locally sourced stone with soft, native planting for a strong yet inviting entry.
A statement Banksia integrifolia anchors the space, surrounded by layered natives chosen to support local wildlife.
With a fully installed irrigation system and no-mow lawn framing the steppers, we were able to transform this space into a low maintenance coastal retreat that feels effortless and welcoming.
Designed for @premix_concrete and delivered in close collaboration with @modernconcreteco , thoughtfully coordinating concrete and planting as a unified design.
