For our Cinematique issue, I wanted someone who represents Hong Kong cinema today. For me, that’s Louise Wong. She’s a model, a fashion icon, an award-winning actress. And she’s only 35. To an outsider, her life looks like luck and good timing. But she opened up about things she’s never really discussed before. The shy girl who only looked at her feet, made fun of for being tall. The lonely years overseas, facing castings alone as a young girl, with no one beside her. The fear of playing Anita Mui—so scared she bought a ticket to Bangkok and cried in a hotel room for three days. None of it was wasted. Every struggle, every closed door, every lonely night—it was all quietly preparing her for where she is today. And now? She’s in a good place. I am genuinely happy for her and believe she has all it takes to go all the way. Read the full cover story via the link in bio. The issue is out now and available at all major bookstores and newsstands in Hong Kong. Last night felt so harmonious — exactly the kind of evening Cartier does so well. The En Équilibre dinner was intimate, elegant, and quietly exquisite. Beautiful private venue in the hills. A really lovely evening well done. P.S. Chef @juniornadje ’s beef dish again — still my favourite ☺️

We walked into Hermès storytelling at its finest — A dinner inspired by a window display and the books within, we embarked on a whimsical journey full of surprises, celebrating the reopening of its Elements store in Hong Kong. Hands down to team @hermes for showing us once again: when creativity meets luxury, that is Hermès magic. A special mention to @mo_hkg for a truly lovely dining experience.

A throwback to the Soho House Tokyo opening — so much anticipation, and after more than seven years in the making, it did not disappoint. What a stunning place. It was such a privilege to see it before the official opening, and a great occasion to catch up with the Soho House community. Who else thought having dinner inside the empty swimming pool with that Tokyo view was a brilliant idea? Stay tuned for more coverage on @prestigehk . Also thanks to my Instagram wife @sunskiseasandy for making the trip from Niseko to Tokyo. Tight schedule, but we made it work — quick shopping, cherry blossoms, good hangs. Caught the start of blossom season in Shinjuku — such beautiful weather, we are so lucky! 🌸 Tokyo, I missed you. Didn’t get to see everyone this time, but I’ll be back soon.

Home with a cold, and also recovering from Prestige’s Kick Start the Art party. Looking back at another fantastic night. Five years running, and the energy only gets stronger. The art community – near and far – is what makes our annual party so special. Great conversations, company, and a celebration of creativity. Can’t wait for next year.

That Art Basel feeling: running on adrenaline, art, champagne, and pure chaos. The energy of Hong Kong during art week is unmatched—vibrant doesn’t even begin to cover it. I am officially partied out, but completely inspired. Until next year! ✌🏼

They say you should never meet your heroes, but meeting mine was everything I hoped for and more.   Without exaggeration, I grew up with Kevin Tsai. From the very first episode of Kangsi Coming (康熙来了),through my years in the UK, his voice was a constant, familiar thread connecting me to home. Though the show ended a decade ago, Kevin never really left. He continued to shape how many of us think and feel—through his books, his wise words, his presence across television and social media. He became something rarer than a celebrity: a companion to our inner lives.   So when I unexpectedly encountered him at Art Taipei last year, showing his work with Whitestone Gallery, it stopped me in my tracks. To be close to his art, to speak with him, however briefly, was unexpectedly emotional. But the moment was fleeting, and I left with questions still hanging in the air. When this year’s Art issue came around, inviting him felt like the most natural thing in the world—a continuation of that unfinished conversation. The real magic happened after the shoot. What was scheduled as a forty-minute interview stretched into more than two hours. The conversation unfolded so naturally that time simply dissolved. I listened as he spoke about his journey—from intellectual and author, to beloved TV host, to long-time art collector, and now to artist in his own right. It struck me then that this is the beauty of contemporary art: it takes no single form, follows no prescribed path. It simply finds a way to touch the heart. As he himself once said: ”Art is not about understanding the artist. It is about understanding yourself through what the artist has made.“ I hope through these pages you come to understand a little more of Kevin Tsai—and perhaps, through his art, a little more of yourself as well. That, after all, is the quiet power of what he does.

This cover was captured on one of Beijing’s coldest days of the year, Dahan 大寒, yet the light was sharp, the sky a brilliant blue, and the air crisp with high energy. Our cover star is the acclaimed actor Yang Yang @yang_0099 , known for his wide range of roles. He brought a warm, friendly, and professional energy. The shoot was relaxed and fluid, with the team moving swiftly and smoothly between looks, punctuated by easy jokes and laughter. The location itself is a character in this story. Originally planned for Shanghai, we shifted to Beijing just weeks prior, aligning with Yang Yang’s schedule—a decision that now feels fated. We shot at the Beijing Mandarin Oriental Qianmen @mo_qianmen , a hotel that has been a dream setting for our team since it opened just over a year ago. It sits within a meticulously preserved hutong neighbourhood, a new luxury sanctuary nestled in ancient surroundings. It’s a place where heritage meets modernity—much like Yang Yang himself, who was recently announced as a global ambassador for Chow Tai Fook @chowtaifookjewellery . The setting naturally echoed his refined demeanour and the timeless craftsmanship of the jewellery he represents. Leading the shoot was photographer Chen Man @chenman , an official participant in Mandarin Oriental‘s ’Fan‘ campaign, who grew up in the surrounding hutongs. Her intimate connection to the place brought a special depth to the day. It was one of those shoots where every element aligned. Dahan signifies a turn toward good fortune, and on that bright Beijing morning, the promise held true. The issue is out today.
