A bento (弁当, 便當)is a Japanese-style single-portion take-out or home-packed meal, often for lunch and common seen in other East and Southeast Asian countries including Taiwan. It’s a pack with a main dish, veggies, and rice, it’s a simple, balanced meal that’s easy to grab on the go.
In Taiwan, you’ll find bentos everywhere—from train stations to local eateries—loaded with flavors like braised pork, fried chicken, and pickled veggies.

This amazing woman is Mikaela. I’ve been lucky enough to witness some pretty special chapters in Miki’s life.
She first walked into Occident as a customer… then came back again. And again. Eventually, she became one of our daily faces — addicted (in the best way) to our coffee and food.
Over time, she became a mum, and more than that, a dear friend — the kind you can throw bad jokes at without judgment.
Now, she’s moving out of our beautiful little village, and honestly, it won’t be the same without her. So we’re throwing a small farewell for her at Occident on the 29th of July.

這家主要賣便當（有鹹豬肉、豬腳、炸排骨）、蔥油餅
點了排骨跟鹹酥雞便當、泡菜牛肉蔥油餅，我們一致喜歡排骨外酥內嫩
捲餅也好吃！地瓜薯條必點
還有那盤靈魂滷味，味道很對，吃完想外帶一盤回家的程度
不過有個朋友覺得還好，我自己是非常愛

Crispy pork chop bento, popcorn chicken, and even sweet potato fries — everything hit the spot. The pork chop was perfectly golden and tender, and that braised platter? A must-order.
Oh, and yes, they’ve got Taiwanese drinks🍹
