Grateful to have been invited to curate Next Place Hotel at Salone del Mobile 2026, a future-facing hospitality concept by @medelhan_official , in the heart of Brera.
Named one of @internimagazine top three must-see destinations during Milan Design Week. An honour we do not take lightly.
Led by our Senior Lead Designer Jacqueline Tan Co, the space was shaped by a simple conviction: hospitality design is not about spectacle. It is about how a place feels, and whether it earns a reason to return to.
Thank you to Medelhan and to every partner who contributed with such care.

Inspired by Bermuda’s coastal ecosystems, the interiors at @stregisbermuda balance the refinement of an urban @stregishotels with the informality of island life.
OBMI led the interior design, shaping spaces that draw the landscape inward while maintaining the brand’s composure and clarity.
A biophilic approach informed the palette. Cool neutrals are punctuated with tropical hues that reference reef, foliage and sand. Sea green tiles frame the Drawing Room fireplace, reflecting the Caribbean waters beyond. In the Great Hall, white columns and dark timber beams are softened with green carpeting and vivid accents that echo the surrounding gardens.
The result is a sequence of spaces that feel both composed and responsive to place, where elegance sits comfortably alongside climate, colour and context.

At OBMI, our concept phase begins on site. Before any drawing starts, we travel. We meet local collaborators, observe daily rhythms and study how culture is expressed through festivals, music, art and cuisine.
In Costa Rica, that immersion informed the brief itself. Programme priorities, spatial hierarchy and narrative direction were shaped by what was learned on the ground.
In this episode of #MeetTheStorytellers, @maud_capet shares how those early insights are translated into a coherent design framework that aligns brand ambition with cultural context.
A look into the way we work, and the thinking that guides it.

Verdes by Haven was designed as a residential community that balances wellness, landscape, and everyday life. Set within Aldar’s Haven masterplan in Dubai, the architecture and open spaces are organised to integrate with lush greenery and natural light, fostering a calm and connected living environment.
Thoughtful planning and material decisions support both comfort and clarity in the way people live and move through the space.

Hotel brands rely on consistency. It gives guests confidence and a sense of continuity wherever they travel. But consistency alone no longer tells the whole story.
Guests today are drawn to places that feel rooted in their location, shaped by local craft, materials, and culture rather than repeating a formula.
In this episode of Meet the Storytellers, @maud_capet speaks to that tension. How design can respect brand standards while allowing each place to express its own character.
When this balance is handled with care, a hotel can feel both reassuring and singular at the same time.

“A great hotel should send you back into the world happier than when you arrived.” — Tim Peck
90 Years of OBMI. From islands to cities, we’ve learned that hospitality is shaped less by what people see and more by how a place makes them feel. Light, air, sound, movement, and connection to landscape quietly shape that experience.
In his conversation with @sleepermagazine , Tim reflects on ninety years of practice — what has endured, and what responsible hospitality must become.

A great night with the team in London. Full of laughter, stories, and long-overdue catch-ups.
It was a joy to reconnect with colleagues from across our studios and celebrate what has been a big year for OBMI.
We are not often all in the same place, so when we are, we make it count. Here’s to the people who make OBMI what it is.
Wishing everyone a joyful and restful holiday season.

For Maud, interior design begins with honesty.
Her work is grounded in natural materials, tactile surfaces, and a careful attention to how spaces are experienced over time. Light, texture, sound, and proportion all play a role in shaping how a place feels the moment you enter it.
This approach draws on local craft and an understanding of context, allowing interiors to feel rooted rather than imposed. The result is work that feels considered, human, and quietly enduring.
Meet the Storytellers is a series that shares the people behind OBMI’s work and the thinking that shapes the spaces we design.

Maud Capet didn’t start in design. She started in psychology.
That curiosity about people, how they think and feel, is still at the heart of her work. As Associate Principal for Interior Design at OBMI, Maud approaches every space with empathy. It’s not just about how things look, but how they make people feel, connect, and come together.
Interiors, she says, are always about the people.
This is Meet the Storytellers, a series that shares the voices behind our work and the ideas shaping the spaces we create.

We’re officially open at Baymahni, and this infinity pool at our Beach Club has become an instant favorite.🏝️
After staring at the renderings for over a year, seeing this come to life is something special. Designed by OBMI, this infinity pool sits at the point with sweeping 270-degree views, turning a long-imagined rendering into reality.
This stunning view of paradise is waiting for you at Baymahni.🍹🌊
Our roots in the Caribbean shaped the way we think about design. In places where community, culture, and environment are deeply connected, every decision matters.
That awareness stays with us. It guides how we listen, plan, and create—across regions and typologies.
