Aura [Symptom 0] Fragments from “Blue Print: Gallery Structure (0)” installed at Reisig and Taylor Contemporary [May 2023]. Addressing this specific location/building, this work formulates an encounter with the latent or repressed forces constructing a gallery-space. With both day and night exposures, this installation works with minimal and recurring traits of the gallery’s fundamental structures: architectures, writings, readings, histories, topologies, symbols, images, shadows, sounds, gravities, bodies, masks, and symptoms…. Presences and absences. Preliminary Questions: How to catch a glimpse of the gallery at work on itself, performing itself? Or, how to render passive forms into conscious acts?
