Buzz-y day today! Added another level to my hive that i split in mid july. I sprayed the wax foundation down with 1:1 sugar syrup to give them a little incentive to draw out the comb as bees really dont like to draw out comb this time of year. Theyre lookin pretty healthy! Tons of foragers bringing in pollen to feed the baby bees. I give them pollen supplement (BROWN POLLEN PATTYS IN PHOTO)just gotta get this split up to 2 full deep hive bodies before winter gets here 🙃. Real Bee shit yo
Update on dem bees. I split my hive earlier last month. Ended up moving the queen by accident in the split so my main hive had to requeen. Tested for Varroa mites recently and they were pretty rampant so i had to treat. Since there was no brood in the main hive currently i decided to use oxalic acid vaporization! Basically dabs for bees lol 🐝 🐝 🐝 real honeybee shit.
