To mark World Day for Health and Safety at Work, Oando reinforced its commitment to a proactive safety culture with a session themed, “Safe Start” led by the EHS team at our Lagos HQ.
The session focused on key safety, emergency, and evacuation protocols, driving home a critical message: experience is no substitute for risks and situational awareness.
Safety starts with deliberate actions, rigorous checks, and the discipline to do the right thing every time.

Today, the office looks quiet, and that’s the point. A moment to pause and recognise the work that fills these spaces every day.
As we mark Workers’ Day, we also acknowledge those still on duty, keeping things moving so others can rest. We hope everyone finds a moment, however small, to recharge.
On Monday, we move.

Climate change and waste aren’t just challenges, they are opportunities.
We celebrate the close-out of GYUP Cohort I and the rollout of Cohort II.
We’ve seen young people transform:
Technical Mastery: building practical renewable energy and waste management solutions
Business Acumen: Creating viable green ventures
Ecosystem Access: Connecting to mentors and markets
Trained. Equipped. Ready. These 25 young innovators are stepping forward to build real solutions.
Cohort II takes it further—expanding reach, deepening impact, and bringing 50 additional youth into the green economy.
Green skills are no longer theory, they’re real ideas, real ventures, real impact.
And this is just the beginning!
From impact to expansion.
The close-out of GYUP Cohort I marks a major milestone—young people equipped with practical skills for opportunities in the green economy.
Now, with the rollout of Cohort II, the impact grows, reaching 50 more youth and strengthening pathways to sustainable livelihoods.
This is only the beginning.

At Oando, we are focused on an extensive drilling campaign that will see us drill as many as 100 wells to boost output. Read more on Reuters via the link in bio.
