We intentionally heat a 1mm steel plate in a cross pattern to create distortion.
Then, using only the senses of hand and eye, we carefully hammer it back to perfect flatness — no machines, just pure craftsmanship.
This is the essence of traditional Japanese metalworking — feeling the material, listening to its voice, and shaping it back with skill and patience.
