Shot Thought: During warmups I don't think I saw anyone spinning as fast as this athlete. An awesome artistic and powerful performance by @leeeee_97 in the Senior Mens Freestyle Event
.
To me the last image is important: In a world of competitive sport, I see players often openly sneer at their rivals and display poor sportsmanship. It was impressive to see this elite athlete not only cheer for his competitor, but be the first to congratulate him on the win - a true sportsman.

Shot Thought: I've had the opportunity to watch William for quite some time. If you scroll down, his picture is one of my earliest posts from 2022 Worlds. He used to compete against my son Ethan in Recognized Poomsae. What has always struck me about him and his father is how often I am kindly greeted by them. I never want to interfere with coaches and athletes so my extent would be a simple bow, maybe a hello. They would both return my gesture with a great smile, thumbs up, pat on the back, or an arm on shoulder - it was nice to be regarded in such a way - especially from an Elite athlete and coach. Congratulations on winning Gold in Senior Male Freestyle Event 🥇

2025 Lions Cup International - Pasadena, CA
Had a great time attending and capturing moments from the Lions Cup. Always a nice tournament and was even more relaxed without Lana or Ethan competing. Pasadena is nearby so why not hang out and provide some memories to old friends coaches athletes and teammates.
Thank you to Master Edward w @lionstkd for being such great hosts - My 3rd tournament and has always been really enjoyable to me. 🙏
While Ethan and Lana are off to doing other things, I'll still might show up from time to time to reconnect with the sport and the people who I know and respect.
