Business Leaders have helped shape the future direction of New Zealand’s trade relationship with Singapore at the inaugural Singapore-New Zealand Leadership Forum in Singapore, paving the way for enhanced economic and commercial ties.
Singapore is New Zealand’s 4th largest trading partner - worth $11 billion in two-way trade in 2025 - and an essential hub for businesses exporting to the region.
Practical outcomes from the Forum include the signing of the Agreement on Trade in Essential Supplies (AOTES). It was also great to see NZ and Singaporean businesses come together to inform government policy and create positive connections to drive trade forward.

New Zealand's food and beverage exports to ASEAN reached NZ$8.4 billion in 2025, almost doubled from NZ$4.5 billion a decade ago - with Singapore serving as a key market and strategic gateway to the region.
We were proud to showcase 15 Kiwi food and beverage companies at @fha_sg Food & Hospitality Asia (FHA) at @singaporeexpo , an event that attracts more than 80,000 visitors across four days and brings together buyers from ASEAN’s retail, hospitality, and foodservice sectors.
The event highlighted innovative, premium products — reinforcing New Zealand’s reputation as a trusted, high-quality supplier to the region.

Tariffs will be eliminated or reduced on 95% of New Zealand’s current exports to India - 57% duty-free from day one, increasing to 82% when fully implemented, and the remaining 13% benefitting from sharp tariff cuts.
