Friday i’ll be sharing some glaze test results I’ve been holding onto here.
This research has been grounding at a time when my life is in flux.
Chemistry is comforting when everything else is uncertain.
When I am making glazes, I have a vision for how I want something to look and feel, and I can pursue it with a very specific set of principles.
Failure is motivating when I’m working with glaze chemistry, just a clue to solving the puzzle. I find it harder to see it that way when I am confronted with disappointment in other areas of my life.
𖦹
In limbo right now trying to figure out what I’m doing with my life after not being accepted to the masters program I hoped to start this fall.
Trying to forget about the door that closed and look for the next one to open ❥
Alles muss raus!
My exit from Berlin is approaching and I am having a studio sale on Saturday, April 19th.
I‘ll be selling new work, seconds, glaze tests and pieces from my archive. Lots of hot deals and a variety of sizes and budgets. One of the last chances to grab my work irl in Berlin!
I‘ll also be selling some glazes and studio supplies very cheaply if anyone is interested 🦠🐛

All left over pieces will be listed online on Tuesday 22/04
I will have some new work in Girlhood, a group exhibition at NEW FEARS Gallery in Kreuzberg curated by @halle_9000@carolineballegaard and @zum_hank this weekend.
There are a few brief years in the life cycle of certain humans where the body has not yet given us away. When you are a child, you understand only that you will grow up but when you enter the years of girlhood the possibility is imminent, it’s desired, it’s feared and there is not much to do but wait, prepare and practice for becoming.
Girlhood is a space that both shapes and is shaped by those who inhabit it. This exhibition is a journey into that world, an exploration of the intimate, often hidden spaces where girls become themselves, where the seeds of identity are sown in the fertile ground of mutual experiences and studied performance.
Inspired by Simone de Beauvoir’s excavation of the feminine journey in The Second Sex, this exhibition delves into "The Girl"—a stage of transformation, shrouded in secrecy and charged with the power of potential. It is a world of diaries, dreams, and whispered plans, a cocoon that nurtures the self before it is thrust into the roles of Lover, Mother, Friend, Boss, Consumer and Consumed.
This is a space of rest and renewal, of quiet rebellion and social spectacle. It is a space where the private meets the public, where the personal becomes communal. It could not exist without
✿ through the weekend we will be collecting donations for Heart to Heart International, an organization that provides menstrual and health products for girls in conflict zones. On Sunday, we will be hosting an art market with proceeds going towards heart to heart.
