My birthday has come and gone- and for the FIRST time (sadly) I decided to put away my phone and put away socials and not bury myself in all the validation that comes from outside, that I use to console the angst and anxiety I feel when approaching another year (I’m grown, I can make a run-on sentence if I want). I faced it head on. Now that I’m here, another lap around the sun under my belt, I could not be any happier. While I still feel like a child pretending to be an adult most times, I know who I am. I know what I want. I’m not as moved by people’s opinions and “well, what would you do”s. - And im slightly ashamed of the dread I’ve felt with every approaching new year- BECAUSE WHAT A BLESSING. What a blessing it is to be here. To be alive. To know you have purpose because God keeps opening your eyes each new morning. HE IS GOOD. I am grateful. I saw every post, every story, every FaceTime, missed call (still circling around to these), THANK YOU! I love you. I am just blessed to be here. Full of gratitude. Here’s some pics from my birthday, featuring one of my best friends, in my favorite city. This year means so much to me. It’s the first time I’ve actually made a big deal of my new year. 2021-top of 2022 were HARD. 21 was LOW. I was full of anxiety, fear, hurt, I was depleted, broken, heartbroken, all the things. But I THANK GOD I was afflicted. Cus this year??! I feel wiser, I’m more patient, more understanding, closer to God than ever 😩, more ambitious, I’m creative again, I have vision again, and I’m bursting at the seams with love. Seriously. I’m overwhelmingly grateful. Another year around the sun! Cheers to ME!

Just sumn to post. I always want to do a dump but I get lost in the pictures and end up not posting anything, so this is simpler. Also, I just want to say- I recommend moving somewhere you absolutely LOVE at least once in your life. If you can’t move, visit as often as possible. The feeling is unmatched. I’m really on the “life is to be enjoyed” tip in this season of my life, and it feels really nice. Yes, we are promised suffering, but we are also promised joy and peace in this life. I’m grateful. 🤍
