Grant applications open March 9, 2026, and the program fully funds markers, poles, and shipping. Whether your story is a local legend, a long-standing tradition, or a folktale, a Legends & Lore marker helps share your community’s cultural heritage while supporting local identity, tourism, and storytelling.
