Today marks a year since Grandma transitioned. The diagnosis was unexpected & everything happened quickly. I think I was a bit delusional at first because I always assumed she would be here well into her 90’s, maybe even into her 100s. I never considered a number, I just couldn’t see her not being here for so many more of our milestones. She was such a big part of our lives…
A woman of God - a FIERCE prayer warrior. My Grandma was up early in the morning praying for her family & friends, + our friends’ families.
She was passionate about food - naturally gifted + trained. She was a proper chef & baker. A talented seamstress. A social butterfly. A comedian. A fashionista. She loved getting dressed up. She loved taking pictures, traveling, dancing & singing. She loved conversation & spending quality time with people. She loved her family & friends nuff. She was a fighter and her faith was strong. She fought hard to stay & watching her go was heartbreaking.
I miss her sense of humour & the way she’d tell stories. I miss her saying 3-4 different names before she called me by mine or how’d she replace important details with “ting” or “yknow,” etc. I miss invading her personal space to cuddle. I miss her encouraging me with prayer when life was hard. I miss celebrating wins together. I miss my fellow tea enthusiast (hot weather couldn’t stop us).
It’s been a year of big change(s) for my family, but there have been highs to counter the lows. I believe her prayers for us are still being answered.
Thank you for everything Grandma. I love you 💜🕊️🦋💚
Bangkok - April 2026.
I planned my entire visit around salsa & had a TIME 💃🏾🇹🇭🤠❤️🔥 I’ve missed going to socials & connecting through dance/music. Grateful for this worldwide dance community. Dance is life 😩🥰🤭
If you’re feeling called to create something, do it. Even if it’s not something you’re familiar with or known for.
When I started sewing interior décor (right after graduating as a photo major), it felt a little random… but my hands missed making things. I missed that calm, focused feeling of creating something from scratch — especially something that could solve a problem and be a beautiful addition to someone’s home.
It turned out to be a return to something I enjoyed back in high school, and I’ve loved it just as much — if not more — as an adult. It’s been a grounding, exciting, and healing experience.
I really believe we all have past joys worth returning to. Sometimes they turn into hobbies, sometimes into whole career shifts, or something completely unexpected. Either way, there’s so much self-discovery and growth in the process.
For me, one of the things that came out of following those nudges was this collection.
These satin pillowcases are more than just soft fabric — it’s a little piece of that joy stitched into something useful.
