The harvest dwindles, with each change in the wind.
A few years back in Montenegro, we visited a mussel and oyster farmer in Kotor Bay. He explained how warmer waters and stronger winds have been reshaping the harvest, season after season.
The “farms” themselves looked almost alien. Wooden frames floated on the bay, with ropes hidden beneath the surface where mussels and oysters clung and grew.
