Today, Minister @jamesbrownetd officially launches THRIVE project “Revival of the Courthouse Letterkenny”
A landmark €7 million regeneration initiative that will transform the former courthouse into a vibrant regional community and tourism destination.
Funded under the THRIVE – Town Centre First Heritage Revival Scheme, the project is supported through the @nwassembly Regional Programme, co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
Once complete, the building will serve as:
- An immersive and interactive visitor attraction, alongside a relocated Tourism Information Point
- A space for interpretation, exhibitions, conferences, education and learning, including innovative “edutainment” experiences
- A flexible multi-purpose venue supporting civic, cultural and community activities

We’ve loved visiting schools right across the region in the run-up to Europe Day 🇪🇺 — meeting amazing students, hearing their ideas, and seeing what they’ve learned about Europe, the EU, and the role of Regional Assemblies in supporting development in their communities.
From quizzes to creative projects, the energy and enthusiasm has been incredible 🙌
