my debut album. being from newyorkcity paying respect to 50 cent is where the name came abt. n the release date as well.
i created this artwork: the nyc taxi a staple icon of newyork, the water coming out of the taxi resembling the tears, the city is crying. the money on the floor tying back to the ‘get rich’ themes in the album, the ‘dont cry’ graffiti which is the title of the first track of the album.
what is the album abt?
i speak on queens, the bronx, dr.
i talk about identity, fighting our inner battles, and how society tends to glorify flaws and demons.
i speak on the rap game, on money and the obsession that comes with it.
i talk about what life as a newyorker feels like — what i saw, what i experienced, the crime, the culture, the pain.
i speak on the feelings of not fitting in. i speak abt God, and so much more.
i hope u enjoy this album. my only prayer is that u actually take the time to listen to the words and the message. ty for your time.
