i made the perfect 7 day Oman itinerary so you don’t have to. save this for your next trip to Oman:
Day 1: (spend night in muscat)
- pick up rental car from airport
- Check into
@salaamspaceyoga hotel in Qantab

Day 2: (spend night in Muscat)
- leave Muscat around 6:30 to arrive to Nizwa fort at 8am
- explore nizwa fort & nizwa souk
- drive roughly 40 minutes to visit the abandoned mud village of Al Hamra
- drive roughly 30 mins to explore jabreen castle
Day 3: (spend night in Muscat):
- 4 hour boat tour of Daymaniyat islands with
@cruise_boat_om (arrive 30 minutes early to check out the fish market next to the departure point)
- stop at Yiti Viewpoint for a scenic view on the way home from the boat tour
Day 4: (spend night in Sur):
- check out of Salam Space & head to Sultan Qaboos grand Mosque (be sure to check opening times)
- after visiting the mosque, check out Muttrah Souk & grab a delicious Omani lunch at
@ghamdanpalace_restaurant
- 3 hour road trip to Sur, stop at Bimmah sinkhole on the way to swim and relax
- -check into accommodations in Sur
Day 5: (spend night in Sur)
- Visit Wadi Tiwi (highly recommend arriving as early as possible. though this Wadi isn’t as touristy as Wadi Shab, it is much smaller so it’s best to avoid the crowds this way)
- make sure to hire a driver if you don’t have 4wd & would prefer to have a professional handle the narrow and steep roads
- in the evening, walk around Sur. walk along the waterfront to the lighthouse for the best views
Day 6 (spend night in Muscat)
- Visit Wadi Shab (Arrive at sunrise if you want to beat the crowds. We had the Wadi mostly to ourselves again, but there were HUNDREDS of people arriving when we were on our way out)
- Stop at the Quriyat Salt plans on the drive back from Sur
- check into Aloft Muscat
- have a delicious dinner at
@mesamuscat (i was DEVASTATED that I had to miss this dinner due to a migraine)
Day 7
- depart!
