No amount of pre event chats could have prepared us for how the night unfolded. Dee, CJ, if this is the amount of crazy that a friendship of 19 years can bring to the table, we canât wait to see what the future holds.
Enough with the dirty talk though âŚ
Gusss whoâs taking over the bar next? đĽ
Weâve always liked to experiment, push things a bit, go slightly off-script.
That thinking carries through the menu, including the zero-proof section.
(Yes, weâve always had it. Youâve just not tried it yet!)
Duckie told us youâve been asking for us. To be honest, we missed it too, the noise, the table and of course ⌠you!
We were gone for a bit (not by choice) but they figured it out and brought us back (about time!)
So⌠See you, soon?
Do we need a caption ??
Well, as you know, limited seats so message soon at +917439696901. The sooner you come, the sooner you hit the spot!
Oh and⌠bring your dirty minds!
Turns out, Nutcases can party hard!
Boat loads of love to our friends @beachvibes_93 and @theonlyissak from @pocketrocketasia for taking over the bar, and @nishit.arora and @garyddaniel for keeping Skinny Moâs moving upstairs.
No seats. No reservations. Just drinks, beats and nobody wanting to leave.
Shall we do this again?
For the first time, Nutcase opens its doors in daylight as @zuruzuru.in makes their Kolkata debut with an array of ramens, hot bowls and their signature cold ramen.
Chef @thehopelessramentic_ and Chef @indian_guy_cooking bring Japanese ramen and Izakaya bites to the bar. Rooted in their Indian identity, the menu runs through Zuru Zuruâs classics alongside creative explorations in-between.
Presented as a four-course tasting with a cocktail pairing, this is a seated lunch experience across two days, with two rotations each day.
Their signature cold ramen arrives in the city for the first time, inside Nutcaseâs first daytime shift.
Slurp. Sip. Slow down.
Register with Link in bio.
Someone said, âpapaya.â
Someone else said, âgoat cheese.â
And instead of arguing, we put them in a glass.
Tanqueray 10. Soju. Papaya liqueur. Tomato water.
A little floral. A little funky. A lot confident.
We called it Papaya Got GOATed because⌠well.
Youâll get it when you taste it!
We turned one.
When we started, this tiny bar felt like a risky idea. We didnât know if Calcutta would take to it. We didnât know how our first year would be.
And then this year happened.
On our birthday, it all felt a little overwhelming. The room was full. Louder than usual. Familiar faces everywhere we looked. Friends behind the counter. Friends across it.
Having @casper.bar__ take over felt right because theyâre friends. And @urboi_lee_ brought his world into ours in the most generous way, even turning the menu for the night into a zine. Something you could hold, flip through, keep. It didnât feel like a guest shift. It felt like a collaboration.
At some point during the night, we just stood there and let it sink in. This tiny bar turned one.
And we canât wait for all thatâs waiting for you and us in the future.
So letâs watch it unfold together, you all, we all, and our glasses clinking in sync! Cheers to remaining Nutcases đ¸
We knew, we had to begin our birthday month with @the_bonx , because who better than the guy whoâs been around from Week 1 till today ?
You walked in saying youâd keep it classic. And oh man, you did. You changed the mood of the evening quite instantly - the purple lights, the playlist, and your take on classics (same same but different) - all of it was so YOU.
Strangers came and stayed till the end, friends came and cheered till the last shot and we realised, it was one of the smoothest guest shifts we had hosted. Because, you are a part of us Bonx and frankly, we canât wait to #GoBonkers again!
Are we doing this again?
(We think already know the answer).
