First release now available, featuring the CW13 layout, with the rest of the asphalt already in place for more layouts in future updates.
This is still an early first draft, so expect more polish over time. The New Circuit has also had a few updates, including terrain shader improvements, colour grading tweaks, ideal line fixes, a better hotlap start, cone material fixes and new trees.

Sometimes touching grass comes in handy, this time touching asphalt did. Progress on the official @buttonwillowraceway for @assettocorsa continues steadily onward thanks to the hard work and efforts from @nukedroptracks turning the data we collected into something that is no short of visually being art and physically being accurate.
Work on Buttonwillow is moving along well, and the core groundwork is now in place.
All reference data has been fully organized and set up in the 3D software. The primary 3D track splines have now been completed for The Circuit, the classic track layouts, and the kart track. As well as the paddock areas. These splines basically define the edges of the track in 3D space. You can see them in the images for this post.
With that done, the track surface for The Circuit itself has essentially completed development. This was essentially filling in the lines, and making it follow the camber and elevation of the data between them.
Work has now begun on the surrounding terrain, along with initial development of the paddock areas and pit lane. These areas are important as they define much of the atmosphere and usability of the facility, but progress is steady, and they’re 90% done now.
The quality of the source data has made this phase especially enjoyable to work on. The drone captures in particular have already proven very useful for accurate terrain shaping and upcoming texture work. Having detailed top down photos is super useful.
Next steps focus on expanding terrain coverage, refining paddock layout, and continuing environment development around the new circuit. Then will be onto the kerbs and walls and white paint lines etc.
Once these are in place I will be sharing the track with you all for some early access testing, while things like buildings, props, and detailed texture work for the track take shape. So yeah, don't expect the first release to be entirely pretty, but it should be mostly functional.
Once this is wrapped, we'll be moving onto the Classic track, and the karting track, both of which will be getting the same level of attention as the classic track.
Once again, thanks to Butonwillow, Speedventures and BTM Simsport for the help in getting this project off of the ground. (literally in terms of Speedventures funding the drones!) I appreciate this is taking a bit of time, but the wait will totally be worth it :)

This is the full color high density point cloud capture of the entire circuit. Millions of points, every bump, camber change, kerb and elevation shift mapped out before any modelling even begins. This capture is the foundation that everything else gets built on, and it’s why the final track ends up feeling right, and looking great.
Proper data at 1:1 scale, no guesswork! Now time for the real work to start.

Dedication to the highest level of realism in simulation is what drives us.
We spent a full day at Buttonwillow Raceway Park yesterday supporting @nukedroptracks with on-site data collection for their officially licensed sim version of the facility.
Through extensive scanning and thousands of reference photos captured from both ground level and aerial perspectives, this project is being built with accuracy as the priority. We’re proud to be working directly with both Nukedrop Tracks and Buttonwillow Raceway Park to help deliver the most faithful digital representation of the facility to date.

As teased late last year, I can finally confirm that Nukedrop Tracks is now officially working with Buttonwillow Raceway under an exclusive licence to create and distribute their circuits for simulators.
Huge thanks to @speedventures for sponsoring the project by funding the drone scanning. This project quite literally does not happen without that support.
Also a big shout-out to Brett Madsen at @btmsimsport for connecting all the parties and helping get this whole thing off the ground.
We’ll be building three layouts from brand new scan data:
• Buttonwillow Circuit
• Buttonwillow Classic
• Buttonwillow Kart Track
Data capture is imminent, with development starting as soon as the scans are delivered.
Buttonwillow is a legendary circuit and it deserves to be done properly. Having the exclusive licence in place means we can commit fully to doing this once, to a very high standard, and in a way that makes sense not just for Assetto Corsa, but for the future as well.
