We are so excited to announce the continuation of our summer program tailored to aspiring recording engineers and music producers. While our Camp Amped program has always focused on writing and performing music, we are excited to offer additional curriculum making use of Amplify studio at Nuçi’s Space.
With the help of experienced music industry professional Chris Byron, (also a professor with the UGA Music Business Program) we have developed a production, engineering, mixing, and live sound curriculum to be added onto our existing curriculum for the 2 week summer Camp Amped session.

Tex Crawford and Bongo Peter Loose will be live painting and capturing the spirit of Lazer/Wulf and the high energy in ring action of @classiccitywrestling706 wrestling! Normally the artwork would be auctioned off with proceeds going directly to the artists, but this time Tex and Pete insisted that the proceeds go directly to Nuci’s Space!

As Mental Health Awareness Month continues, we’re honored to share another “My Nuçi’s Space Story” from Athens creative designer, musician, client and longtime friend of the space, Dan Roth. 💚
Dan’s story is a powerful reminder of why Nuçi’s Space exists: to provide tangible support, resources, and community for musicians and creatives navigating mental health challenges.
For more than two decades, Dan has been part of the Nuçi’s community, and we are deeply grateful for his honesty in sharing how support, connection, and care can truly change lives.

As many of you may know, May is Mental Health Awareness Month. 💚 Over the month, we will be sharing stories from members of our beloved Nuçi’s Community including staff, clients, providers, and more, to illustrate that mental health struggles and brain illness do not discriminate and can affect anyone at any time.
It is by sharing our stories with honesty, empathy and candor that we reduce the stigma around mental health and encourage others to heal.
Our first “Nuçi’s Story” is from our Communications and Special Events Manager, Teri Drake-Floyd, with her essay, “Flirted With You All My Life.”
Stories like these are the “May Flowers” that keep us going — the driving force behind our mission here at Nuçi’s Space. We are honored to be on this journey with you all, providing you with resources, support, and a safe space to land. We are so glad you’re here. 💙

For those of you who are not familiar, Nuçi’s Space is a registered 501(c) (3) nonprofit based in Athens, GA. Their mission is to prevent suicide. With a focus on musicians, Nuçi’s Space advocates for and helps to alleviate the suffering of those living with a brain illness and fights to end the stigma of mental illness. To accomplish their mission, Nuçi’s Space maintains a health and resource center for musicians. It offers programs and services in three main areas: Health & Wellness, Musicians Services, and Youth Support.
Some of these programs include access to low-cost professional counseling, suicide prevention training, and various support groups through their Health & Wellness programs. Their facility provides affordable rehearsal space, a recording studio, gear rental and sales, and a music venue to showcase local talent and support all musicians. Their Youth Support programs include an award-winning camp experience, Camp Amped, year-round programming, and the development of the next generation of aspiring musicians.
We believe Nuçi’s Space will be a significant addition to our community. Thank you for your consideration.
