The fundamental problem with spending most of your developmental years emulating different personalities is the following:
1. People never get to meet the real you.
2. Neither do you.
Instead, you find yourself perpetuating a vicious cycle of crippling anxiety, denialism and escapism. After spending many years successfully introducing artificial iterations of yourself to almost everybody you’ve ever crossed paths with, you end up suppressing your authentic self. The irony is that the act fails to cover up the darkest parts of your being. In fact, one could argue that the facade carves out favourable conditions for the darkness to flow with no light to dictate its purpose. For one without the other is a breach of human duality. After the crash, everything burnt to ashes, including the act itself. This album symbolises more than just a rebirth. It represents the need for ACCEPTANCE in order to UNLEARN. Unlearning marks the beginning of BECOMING. The art of becoming the LIGHT. This is the LIGHTHERAPY LP.
