This was an awful year on so many levels, but I managed to find a few moments to smile 😊❤️🩹
And thanks to @quixotic.queerings for reminding me to love myself enough to take photos of myself ❤️🩹
MAJOR LIFE UPDATE: Today, after 10 amazing years together, it is with love and care that Joseph, Goose, and I announce our goodbyes. We entered into this relationship a decade ago in high school, and nobody could have known how thrilling the next 10 years would be. We loved each other fearlessly, made music together, supported each other through multiple degrees, traveled the world together, weathered a global pandemic, opened a business together, and raised a beautiful, fluffy, joyous dog. I have grown so much because of Joe, and I am proud to have stood by him all these years. I will miss your beautiful, infectious laughter, Joe.
Divorce is difficult, but ours felt different. Our divorce, just like our marriage, was filled with love, care, and the desire to heal as we move into our respective new chapters. For that, we are grateful.
Joe and Goose are moving to Florida today, and I intend to stay in NYC. While it breaks my heart to say goodbye to Goose, I am happy to say that Goose will meet several new friends and family in FL and will also have a nice backyard with lots of treats. I will cherish this last family photo forever.
I love you, Joe. Leaving each other in the name of love has been unimaginably painful, but through the tears I feel hope for a wonderful future. Good luck with everything and know that I am always wishing you the best. ❤️
Thank you to everyone who has supported and loved us over the years. ❤️
Kyoto was really fun, despite the 104F weather. Fushimi Inari and Yasaka Pagoda were beautiful. Climbing up to Kiyomizudera almost gave one of us a heat stroke, but we survived and the views were worth it 🙏🏼
First two and a half days in Tokyo have been really fun so far! There’s so much to eat and see—and I can’t believe I actually went hiking. Off to Osaka tomorrow 🙏🏼
I am REALLY, really loving how this moment from @ntrancomposer ’s “Intrinsic Fracturing” played out in performance a couple of weeks ago!
Superball on cello is such a broad, versatile set of sounds to build around and on top of, and I really enjoy navigating the structures that Nicholas set up in this section. ♥️
Take a listen to the entire piece (with even more superball?!) on my website (link in bio) or YouTube channel!
