there aren’t enough words to describe what ebertfest meant to me, and frankly, i don’t think there ever will. but i do know this, if i could do it everything all over again, id do it in a heartbeat and wouldn’t change a single thing.
thank you to everyone that i worked with and interacted with these past three years for reminding me why i love movies and talking about them
and special ty to @ktothelau , @madebykal and Luke (plus everyone at Shatterglass Studios) for letting me help backstage. i can’t stress how grateful i am for the opportunity!
till next time ebertfest, until then, keep on keeping on :)
TOP 10 TIME
I’m so glad this was a great year for film and it was really difficult choosing what 10 movies I thought were my favorite and the overall best released this year
hope you all agree with my picks, but regardless, thank you and happy new year
2025 IS OVER which means it’s time to rank all of the movies from 2025 that I saw throughout the year!
Just like last year, I not only beat my personal record of new movies seen this year from 62 to 78, but I went to the movies a total of 149 (148 at the time of posting this) TIMES THIS YEAR, compared to last year’s 96 times.
As per usual, l’ll make a separate post with my personal top 10 films of the year.
Without further ado, please check out these rankings and please remember that these picks are my opinion! Also, if you don’t see a specific movie on here, there’s a good chance l either didn’t catch its theatrical release or it’s not out yet locally like The Testament of Ann Lee.
Thanks everyone and here’s to more records being broken in 2026!
