I saw a beautiful little egret when I went to Bangkok last year. I took so many photos and videos of birds throughout that trip so that I could use them as references for future paintings, but this time I wanted to do something different. I ended up working on this animation that took many hours to finish 😅 I'm actually happy with how it turned out~ Observing this bird in motion was a much-needed exercise 🐧🐦🪿🦆🐦⬛🦅🦉 Made on Procreate
For the last #BirdArtWeek2026 prompt #CharismaticEndemics I painted a Javan Sparrow or Gelatik Jawa.
This cute bird is endemic to Java and Bali, and they're usually found in small groups.
I love the colors of the sparrow's beak!

The Southern Cassowary/Double-Wattled Cassowary is a solitary bird. Cassowaries are fast runners and they can even jump pretty high.
I met this bird for the first time last year and I took a lot of pictures.
I chose to paint this bird for the prompt #RuleBreakers because cassowaries are so unique. They have a casque that's like a helmet and their "feathers" look more like hair.

No longer classified as a "near threatened" species, the Oriental Darter or Pecuk-Ular Asia's current status is "least concern."
I'm a little behind, but this is my painting for the prompt #BirdSuccess #BirdArtWeek2026
