On Tuesday, NOVA was proud to participate in the Family Service Community Festival in Bristol Township! ☀️ Our Coordinator of Volunteers and Community Outreach, Julie Dugery, spent the day connecting with local families, sharing information about NOVA’s resources, and engaging with the community in a positive, family-focused environment. We were also glad to connect with Erika Flayer from the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office Victim/Witness Unit! Thank you to the Family Service Association of Bucks County and the Bucks County Children & Youth Social Services Agency for hosting this wonderful event, and thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth to say hello.

This #TBT we’re taking it back a few weeks to Gala Game Night 🎲✨ Thanks to your incredible support, our 2026 Gala raised nearly $200,000 and netted over $150,000 to sustain NOVA’s programs and services for those in Bucks County who need them most. From the camaraderie to the generosity, the energy in the room said it all. This night was a powerful reminder of what our community can accomplish together. 🧡

We are so grateful to the Encores Club of Doylestown for their continued generosity and commitment to making a difference. 🧡 This year, they raised $675 in support of the Bucks Coalition Against Trafficking (BCAT), marking the second consecutive year they’ve chosen to invest in BCAT’s anti-trafficking efforts. Their dedication to this cause helps raise awareness, support survivors, and strengthen our community’s response to human trafficking. Thank you for showing up and making an impact that truly matters!

Thank you to everyone who joined us last week for a special NOVA Book Club in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. We wrapped up our April programming with a meaningful discussion of "Know My Name" by Chanel Miller, a powerful memoir that invites us to reflect on how we understand sexual assault and the cultural narratives that shape those perceptions. A heartfelt thank you to @doylestownbookshop for hosting us, partnering with us throughout the month, and generously offering a discount on the book!

NOVA was honored to stand alongside the Falls Township Police Department and the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office last week for the dedication of the Tina Severns Memorial Park. The memorial, featuring a bench and two commemorative signs, now rests on a portion of property owned by @grand_affair_party_rentals , who generously offered the space for this tribute in Morrisville, PA. Tina's life was tragically taken in 1986 at just 13 years old. Her body was discovered along the roadway near where the memorial now stands in Falls Township. Nearly 40 years ago, NOVA supported the Severns family as they navigated unimaginable grief and sought justice through the court system. It was an honor to have NOVA Victim Advocacy Coordinator Stephanie Shantz speak at the dedication, representing NOVA’s continued commitment to standing with survivors and families impacted by violent crime.
